"Burj al-Arab" translates to Tower of the Arabs. This monument forms the world's third tallest hotel, clocking in at 404 floors with 202 double-story rooms. One of their luxurious suites forms the 12th most expensive hotel suite in the world. Fitting for the world's tallest hotel, the tower is also built on a man-made island, exclusive for the very important guests of the hotel. With the gray wafer of the island and the majestic curve of the hotel itself, the entire structure reminds one of a splendid sailboat floating on the crystal blue Persian gulf just off the Jumeirah beach. Tourists may know this world-famous, cosmopolitan expatriate community as the Beverly Hills of the east. Such opulence seems like it can only be dreamed of, but it is available for reservation.
