Gulliver’s Kingdom Theme Park Japan

Gulliver’s Kingdom Park opened near Mount Fuji and one of the largest locations for mass suicide in Japan, explaining why it closed four years later due to a lack of interest. Today the 147-foot statue of Gulliver, complete with tiny ropes holding him to the ground, ornately carved buttons on his wrinkled waist coat and outstretched giant hands as huge as a grown man, lays abandoned in the park. Street artists have left their mark on the decrepit statue, which is surrounded by trees and empty pink-bricked houses with green windows. Urban explorers can also find abandoned trinkets and dolls left in the park.
