Jingshan Park China

For a trip to the best of ancient China, enjoy a tour of the Forbidden City but do not forget to venture north to the artificially created Jingshan Park. The Ming dynasty, famously known as one of classic China’s most artistic periods, oversaw creation of the park using soil that was excavated while digging moats to further seclude the Imperial Palace. Intricate pavilions and tombs sit on top of the five peaks of Jingshan. Jingshan was originally exclusively for the emperor and other citizens of the Forbidden City, but today the splendor of the park is for all to enjoy.
