Detroit was world-renowned as the “motor city” and the headquarters of GMC. Unfortunately, with the financial crisis, much of Detroit became abandoned and previously famous buildings fell into disrepair. The jewel of one of these buildings was the Lee Plaza Hotel. Trespassing warnings blanket the outside of the abandoned, decrepit hotel, but that hasn’t stopped some urban explorers from entering the art deco graveyard. Today, structural supports, interior walls and other crumbling remnants of the former beloved historic site can be observed by trespassers into the building.
