To visit Longtan park is to enjoy a journey to the beauty and mysticism of classic China. The name of the park translates to “Dragon Pool Park,” which possibly explains why many of the most popular tours tragically overlook this dream-like oasis with its majestic rocky peaks and waving willow branches. Stone foot bridges go over serene lakes filled with gaggles of quacking ducks. The real stars however are the more than one hundred intricate carved Chinese dragons winding throughout the pavilion. The park’s devoted fans also enjoy nothing more than riding around the lakes on colorful dragon boats, covered in splendid decorations.
