Natural Bridge Caverns United States of America

Americans love to say that everything is bigger and better in Texas, and Natural Bridge Caverns is no exception. These naturally formed rock caverns are the largest caverns in Texas, located just outside of San Antonio. San Antonio is not only home to the well-remembered Alamo, but it is also a cultural center for Texas. Why not take a day-trip to beautiful San Antonio and then visit the Natural Bridge Caverns? Rainwater travels through the porous limestone through the caverns to create hanging chandelier like stalactites. Tall stalagmites and columns also fill the caves, including the iconic King’s Throne. Some of the formations even appear to shimmer and shine from the natural combination of rainwater and limestone. Visitors are always astounded by the natural formations, with names such as “Pluto’s Anteroom,” “The Chandelier,” and “Valley of the Fallen Lords.”
