Smoky Mountains, North Carolina/Tennessee United States of America

The Great Smoky Mountains are a mountain range rising along the Tennessee–North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. On Sept. 2, 1940, Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. For the dedication, President Roosevelt stood at New found Gap with one foot in Tennessee and the other in North Carolina with the governors of each state standing beside him, in their respective states. Experience the sunrise from one of the most beautiful places on the east coast, there's music in these mountains, beyond the crash of waterfalls and the early morning choruses of the hundreds of bird species that dwell in.
