Upper Buffalo Wilderness is located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. the wilderness covers an area of 12,108 acres (49 km²). Contained within Ozark-St. Francis National Forest, the wilderness is managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Contained in the wilderness is Hawksbill Crag (also called Whitaker Point) Some says this is an easy hike of approximately 1.9 miles. The only issues making it a little more of a moderate hike, rather than an easy hike is some uneven terrain on the trails due to roots and rocks, and some uphill/downhill trails. It's the most photographed piece of rock in Arkansas. Whether you call it Hawksbill Crag or, as most locals do, Whitaker Point, you've seen it on brochures, tour guides, advertisements and magazine covers. Beyond beautiful scenic view.
